CD/DVD Labels

For
some time I have been using “CD Stomper” to produce
stick on labels for my CDs and DVDs.
I was in the habit of copying CDs for use in the car, so that
I didn’t get the original nicked.
One day when I was trying to change to a different CD it refused
to come out through the slot. After I found somewhere to stop
I examined it and found that the label had rippled. After some
time I finally got it out without any damage. So I have since
then marked my disks with a pen and printed outer labels for the
jewel cases.
As I moved into DVD I wanted to produce a more professional looking
label so I bought TDK CD label printer. The image above shows
the software. It only prints in black, but it does no damage to
the disks and it produces a clear label.
The user can select from a number of templates for Video, Images
Data, Music etc. This sets up the layout for you. You may then
type in your information and then place the DVD or CD into the
printer and it prints. They cost about £50 but I have seen
them at lower prices. Many of the newer ink jet printers have
a carriage for CDs - this enables printing directly onto the disk.
