Photo Exhibition

Those of you who entered the Photo competition back in December will probably remember Geoff Walsh mentioning an exhibition of our work. This exhibition will take place at Melton Library for one week starting on February 25th.

If you entered the competition and would like your work put on display please contact Geoff and he will make the arrangements.

Microsoft Security Updates

This week sees the release of the latest patches for Microsoft products. The information that I have picked up lists patches for Windows and Office products.

The planned patches include one critical fix for Microsoft’s Windows Media Player along with four patches for Windows. The other fixes relate to some of the Office products. More details of these updates is available on Microsoft’s web site and they should become available on the Microsoft update site next Tuesday.

If you were not aware of Microsoft’s updates they are released on the second Tuesday of each month. It is well worth the effort to check these updates and keep your system up to date.

Question Corner

We have been trying to encourage people to ask their questions via the club web site or the newsletter for some time now and we are just starting to get a few. If you have a question please email it to one of us and we will publish it for you.

First we have a couple of questions from Harry Mcknight if anyone can help please either contact Harry or let us have an answer for next month.

1. I am receiving too much Spam e-mail despite having Tiscali's Spam Remover installed. What are the pro's & con's of changing one's e-mail address, and have club members any tips to successfully doing this?

2. Is there a downside to changing an e-mail address, and as an alternative is it feasible to have more than one Spam Remover installed? (Tiscali will not accept Mailwasher)
