13. Don’t be afraid to experiment
Sometimes you need to break the rules to make a bold statement, so
don’t be afraid to play around with the crop tool and experiment with
different techniques before settling on one design.
Try cropping at different angles and rotating the picture to compensate,
creating a dynamic composition effect. Crop faces in half to create a
sense of mystery. Maybe leave in an odd background detail to create
contrast with your subject.
Cropping in unusual ways can create some very cool results
Please see attached image guide showing where to and not to crop a portrait. This
is a guide, and as always rules are made to be broken so there will be occasions
when this guide would not apply.
Obviously the red lines are a no-no and the green lines acceptable cropping
