A thing, in the Internet of Things, could be:-
a person with a heart monitor implant,
a farm animal with a biochip transponder,

a home system (CCTV, lights, heating) ,
a tagging device for a criminal,
your car

… etc

So, once the things are switched on and the code/app/program
written by a human is running – either no human interaction is
required, or some interaction can start a process.
So, all good – yeah.

Apparently this term Internet of Things was coined by Kevin Ash-
