If you do have a Pop3 setup and want to change to IMAP the following intu-
itive website instructions using Thunderbird as an example will be of help.

So with a bit of luck, if you are now using the protocol IMAP, your emails
should be available across your devices.

Now we must consider calendars and contacts. So firstly considering con-
tacts, these are an integral part of your email account and it makes sense to
port them through your various devices.

Contacts can usually be ported across to other devices or programs using
CVS or VCF files. I have tried this with some degree of success between
AOL and Thunderbird. You will however, have to modify contacts to suit
your requirements. Remember, this operation is synchronous and if you add
or remove contacts in the future, the operation must be repeated. I am not
sure how this works across all platforms, so a visit to a web browser should
give you up to date information.

If you use an online calendar such as that in Gmail, you should be able to
modify it across all your devices that can access the internet.

As Alan pointed out, what you can do depends on the types of devices you
intend to sychronise and the operating systems that they use – Android,
OSX, Windows or a combination of them all.

If you own Apple devices like an IPhone, IPad and an Imac PC, then sychro-
