sci-fi novel – I wonder if the majority of the population will understand
them enough to make really good use of them!
But above all, will you be safe when using them?
So for 2016 let’s hope that new technology doesn’t cause too many prob-
lems for its users, and that we can recruit a few more members who can
maybe talk us through some of the new stuff we will see.
6. Secretary’s Report
Dave started his report by thanking everybody for their contributions in
making the last year a success. He thanked the committee for again put-
ting on an interesting and varied programme. Hopefully everybody found
it interesting and maybe even learnt something on the way. Topics cov-
ered last year included Google Chrome, Raspberry Pi and a trip to 103
The Eye.
Our Photographic competition was again a huge success, the entries were
again of a very high standard and thanks to everyone who entered and
made it a fun evening. Well done to Geoff Walsh for taking the best pho-
to award. Although we had a lot of photos, which was great, we need
more members to enter. Dave thanked Bob Eagle for organising the Pho-
tographic Competition and everyone who entered to make it a successful
evening.
Dave thanked Barry Beeken on behalf of the members, for organising our
Christmas Dinner.
The new programme for 2016 is taking shape but we are always looking
for new ideas and presenters. Dave requested that if anybody had a par-
ticular computer related topic or new software, please come along and
share your experiences with the club.
