A word of warning – the only version of Windows supported on the 7
generation Intel processors and the AMD Zen range, is Windows 10. Do
not buy the latest if you still want to run Windows 7 or 8.
So considering a basic tower PC from around £300 you will probably get
· Windows 10 64bit home edition
· 4Gb of internal memory
· 500/1000 Gb internal hard drive – solid state or sata
· DVD R/W drive
· Integrated graphics (1920 x 1080 resolution)
If you want something bigger and faster, maybe a games machine or vide-
o/graphics editing around the £1500 upwards mark, then you are looking
at
· 8/16Gb of internal memory
