Last Month….

Derek delved into the important topic of backing up your computer system
files and importantly, your personal data.

Why You Should Backup Your Files

                          Hardware Failure
                          Theft
                          Ransom Ware
                          Natural Disaster
                          Accidental Deletion
                          Virus

There are many reasons, as you can see, to backup your files. Last week I
switched on my system in the morning and found that my main drive was-
n’t showing in File Explorer. After a few minutes it became apparent that
something catastrophic had happened. The hard drive was trying to boot,
but it was pretty obvious, a mechanical failure had occurred, and it was
only about 18 months old too. Luckily I had a fairly recent copy of my
system and was able to replace the drive and get back to a working system
          relatively quickly.

A computer backup is definitely worth considering.
