For small data files, maybe a memory stick will suffice, but beware, make
          a couple of copies as these devices are not always reliable. An external
          drive is portable and relatively cheap. This can hold all your data and even
          a copy of your complete system. You could invest in a network storage
          device such as a NAS system which is a bit pricier but offers a host of ex-
          tra features.  Many companies now offer cloud and online data storage for
          a annual fee and this type of storage is now becoming more popular. There
          are  also the CD/DVD storage options. I tend to save data files such as
          music on to DVD. It really depends how critical your data is and large it
          is.


          There are many programs and packages that will do backups for you. Win-
          dows 10 even has it built into the operating system. Derek, however, was
          concentrating  for  this  presentation  on  the  excellent  Acronis  True  Image
          software package which costs around £20.
