Apparently the ‘take up’ figures in the UK for home devices is very
poor.
Many of us do not think we need these devices.

I use a thermostats to manage the temperature in the house – I don’t
need a smart phone app to do it!

Google spent $3.2b buying Nest Labs in 2014 – they make home de-
vices like ‘intelligent’ thermostats, smoke & CO detectors.
