Smart locking systems tied in to your phone – great for holiday rent-
als where you know the renter can get in Monday to Friday, but out-
side that period – the house is locked.
So in this case – your phone communicating to the house security
system is a great use of IoT – until your phone is stolen, then some-
one else can enter the property (so just like a bunch of keys) – but
changing the lock is easier (hopefully)!!
The idea of smart fridges has been around a long time, but it re-
quires so much human work – scanning items being removed or
added to the fridge that they just don’t function well enough.
