MMCC – IOT - 2017
I always stick some paper over my laptop camera when it is not being
used – a very low tech solution, but effective.

SMARTER - the hardware and software are now able to do so much
more today than yesterday.
They can almost (if you let them) control your life – well at least your
diary!

Voice activation is a huge step forward – no more keyboard or mouse.

And this may be the advance that sells more of these IoT devices.

A smart learning device could track your actions for a period of time
and work out (possibly) what you might want – i.e. second guess what
you are about to do before you make the request.
If you leave the office, it could prepare your home.

When you wake up and get out of bed, it could make the coffee – but
I’m not sure how it gets the milk out of the fridge or the coffee out of
the jar!!

Are we really getting to the stage where we need so many devices to
do the menial stuff for us.
